Livingston Municipal Library

Loan Periods

Loan periods are as follows:

2 weeks (14 days) for books and audiobooks

1 week (7 days) for DVDs and magazines

A grace period of 7 days is allowed for overdue books, audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs, and magazines.  If these items are returned within the 7 days following the due date, no late fines will be owed.

Items NOT returned after the grace period will accumulate overdue charges beginning the day following the last day of the grace period.  Overdue charges continue to accrue over weekends and holidays, and customers are urged to use the bookdrop when the library is closed.  The bookdrop is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Most circulating materials may be renewed one time unless they are reserved or on hold.

Customers who have anyone living in the household that owes fines of $2.00 or more may not renew library items. Library items may be renewed only 1 time. Items that are on reserve for another customer may not be renewed. Books or audiobooks can be renewed for an additional 14 days unless the items has been reserved. Movies and magazines may be renewed for an additional 7 days if not on reserve. Renewals may be done by telephone or in person.
