Educational Resources for Children

PBS Kids Lab

PBS KIDS is always working on something new—and usually several "somethings" at once! Whether it is new apps focusing on math or an augmented reality game using camera phones, you will be able to find the latest and greatest right here on PBS KIDS Lab. This is where we debut our newest games, and show early research results. Be among the very first to see what is new with beloved characters like Curious George, the Cat in the Hat, Buddy from Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid, and more.

FunBrain

Created for kids in grades Pre-K through 8, Funbrain.com has been the leader in free educational games for kids since 1997. Funbrain offers hundreds of games, books, comics, and videos that develop skills in math, reading, problem-solving and literacy.

Educators and parents can trust our site to provide a fun and safe experience both at home and at school. Funbrain does not collect personally identifiable information from kids.

FunBrain Jr.

Funbrain Jr. ("A Fun Place to Learn") helps preschoolers and kindergarteners jumpstart their journey of learning with engaging games, stories and printables. Kids love playing and learning with Funbrain Jr., and you'll love that they're building math, early literacy and problem solving skills, while also developing important computer skills. Come discover our world - sit together and play, or let your little learner explore Funbrain Jr. independently - it's up to you!

Scratch

With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community.

Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.

Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. It is provided free of charge.

National Geographic Kids

We teach kids about the world and how it works, empowering them to succeed and to make it a better place.

Nat Geo Kids inspires young adventurers to explore the world through award-winning magazines, books, apps, games, toys, videos, events, and a website, and is the only kids brand with a world-class scientific organization at its core. National Geographic Kids magazine (10 issues per year) and Little Kids magazine (six issues per year) are photo-driven publications and are available on newsstands or by subscription in print and on tablets.
