Earth Science on Wheels: Science Sort/Fossil Dig

"Science On Wheels: Science Sort gives students the opportunity to play paleontologist, as they embark on a mini fossil dig of their own to find shark teeth, shells and more! Students first will prepare to identify fossils, learning about the many kinds of fossils there are, how fossils are made, and what various types can tell us about ancient life. Next, they are provided with samples of real fossilized sediment to analyze and compare to a fossil identification guide, using the scientific process to determine the origin of fossils they uncover. Sponsored by the Houston Museum of Natural Science."
